Tiffany Waterman, MS, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Tiffany Waterman earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina. In 2004, she received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from National University in Sacramento. During her internship at Diogenes Youth Services, she provided counseling to at-risk teens and their families, addressing issues such as abuse/neglect, school violence, domestic violence, gang violence, substance abuse, and anger management.
Ms. Waterman has extensive experience working with developmental disabilities, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans. Prior to joining Solutions, she worked for Lutheran Social Service of MN for five years, primarily in a school setting where she provided individual, group, and family therapy to children and families in a rural community. She also worked in the LSS Treatment Foster Care program, offering therapeutic services to children in foster care, foster parents, and biological parents.
Ms. Waterman joined Solutions in 2014, where she has provided therapeutic services in elementary schools and serves as a clinical supervisor for CTSS programming. She provides outpatient therapy to individuals, families, and groups, with expertise in treating trauma, anxiety disorders, behavioral difficulties, and attachment issues.
Her specific training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Refugee Mental Health Diagnosis and Treatment, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), the Incredible Years Child and Parent programs, and working with children on the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum.
Ms. Waterman is motivated to help families reach their goals and maintain long-term success. She works diligently to understand each family’s unique situation, meeting them where they are and creating the best opportunities for success.
In her free time, Ms. Waterman enjoys going to the lake, spending time with her family, walking and playing with her dogs, trying new foods, and traveling. She also volunteers with 4 Luv of Dog rescue, providing foster homes for dogs in search of their “forever” homes.
