Sheryl Anderson, LPCC (MN)
Sheryl Anderson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (MN). She received her Master of Science Degree in 2007 from Southwest MN State University with a major in Special Education, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders. In 2019 she received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler Graduate School. She completed an undergraduate internship working with adults transitioning from a behavioral health hospital to a community setting. She worked as a Counselor for Project Turnabout/Vanguard inpatient treatment center for Problem Gambling. She formerly worked as a Mental Health Practitioner at Montevideo schools/Woodland Centers. Before pursuing a career in mental health, Sheryl worked as a special education teacher. She has been trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Areas of practice include individual, group, and family therapy, addiction recovery, gambling disorders and substance use disorders. She is on the MN Department of Human Service’s problem Gambling Advisory Board. Sheryl enjoys working with children of all ages, as well as individuals and families seeking recovery. She values authenticity and focusing on solutions. In her spare time, Sheryl enjoys all things outdoors, particularly gardening and water activities.
