Larissa Grundmanis, M.S., Psychology Intern

Larissa Grundmanis joined Solutions in August, 2022 in order to complete her year-long doctoral internship in psychology. Larissa completed her B.S. in psychology from Michigan Technological University, a M.A. in forensic psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and her M.S. in clinical psychology from Antioch University New England. She has had previous internship experiences at a forensic inpatient hospital and at a psychiatric residential treatment facility for adolescents. She previously worked as a tutor, as an academic achievement coach for undergraduate students, and as a coach for international graduate students getting accustomed to life in the United States.

Larissa enjoys working with clients dealing with self injury, those with mood disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. She finds it meaningful when someone has a realization that “makes” the change in them. She views her clients as whole, rather than just as a “problem behavior.” She strives to really understand the person sitting in front of her and what the deeper function of their behaviors are. She works to understand how her client views the world and what their associated cognitions are.
