Kayla Lawrence, MSW, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (MN)

Kayla Lawrence received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University – Moorhead in 2014 and her Master of Social Work from the University of North Dakota in 2015. She began her career at Solutions in 2015 as a Mental Health Practitioner and has served as an Outpatient and Children’s Day Treatment Therapist since 2016. Currently, she works in the Solutions Moorhead office and also provides mental health services in Moorhead elementary schools and in home settings.

Ms. Lawrence has training in a variety of evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the CAMS Suicide Prevention Model, and Incredible Years. She primarily provides services to families with elementary-age children, particularly those with trauma-related disorders, anxiety, and behavioral disorders.

Her hobbies include spending time with her family and traveling. Kayla truly enjoys working with children and their families and watching as they implement new skills to improve their relationships and mental health symptoms. Her aim is to help children and parents feel happy, confident, and empowered to take on all of life’s challenges.
