Brydon Wanner, MA, Pyschology Intern

Brydon Wanner is a doctoral psychology intern and is currently earning his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University in La Mirada, California where he also earned his M.A. in Clinical Psychology in 2021. Brydon earned his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas in 2019. Brydon is originally from Mandan, North Dakota and is excited to join Solutions and be part of the Fargo-Moorhead community.

As part of his doctoral training, Brydon provided therapeutic services as a practicum student at the Biola Counseling Center where he cared for college-aged students experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as assisted students with identity formation and relational bonding. Brydon also provided psychological assessment services at Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center in Los Angeles, California to adult men impacted by homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use and criminal histories. He was also a doctoral practicum student at Compass Recovery Inc. in Cypress, California: a residential treatment facility for individuals with substance use histories. Here, Brydon mainly provided behavioral interventions as part of Compass’ inpatient program which focuses on medical detox and stabilization.

Brydon is naturally curious and deeply enjoys learning about people’s stories. This curiosity drives Brydon’s clinical practice as he passionate about guiding others to write and learn from their own stories no matter their background. Brydon feels incredibly honored that he gets to experience stories of growth with everyone he works with.

Brydon considers himself a “jack-of-all-trades” and engages in many hobbies. Outside of Solutions, you might find him running around the Fargo-Moorhead area training for a marathon. He also enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, board games, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with friends.
