Behavior Analysts are licensed experts in the principles of learning and behavior within the field of Behavior Analysis. Behavior Analysis is the scientific study of how behaviors are learned and how behaviors are changed over time. This is divided into two major fields: experimental and applied. Experimental Behavior Analysis involves research and contribution to the growing field of Behavior Analysis. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) uses these findings to influence behavior in real-world situations. Behavior Analysts will use a variety of evidence-based techniques to help clients learn socially appropriate or positive behavior while helping to eliminate inappropriate or negative behaviors.
