Ann Battle, MSW, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Ann Battle received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Florida and her MSW from the University of Texas. She is licensed in Minnesota as an LICSW. Ann completed her master’s internship as a therapist in an LGBTQ counseling agency. She has experience as a case manager and also as a therapist at a psychiatric hospital, working with acute and chronic mental illness. She previously conducted mental health and substance abuse evaluations in emergency departments, and worked as an in-home therapist for adults with chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues. At Solutions, Ann provides therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. She is experienced in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, couples counseling, multi-cultural issues, and end of life issues. She finds her work with those struggling with substance abuse, with couples and families, and individuals from other cultures especially rewarding. She values being able to connect with her clients and providing them with skills for long-term recovery and healing, and understands the importance of being authentic and meeting her clients where they are at. Ann volunteers on the hospice unit at the VA. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time with her children.
