Courtney Leben, MSW, LMSW
Courtney received her Undergraduate degree in social work from the University of North Dakota in 2020, then went on to get her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2021. Courtney completed her MSW internship with Solutions in 2022 in the areas of outpatient and intensive behavioral interventions. She is a licensed master social worker completing her supervision hours to become a licensed clinical social worker.
Courtney has worked with Solutions since 2022 as a North Dakota Mental Health Rehabilitation Therapist. Prior to that, Courtney has experience working with people who are recovering from substance use, people with developmental disabilities, and in the elementary school setting.
Courtney is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) with children ages 3-7. She is trained in a number of Evidence-Based Practices; she is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for older children ages 7-10, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) for youth ages 3-18 with advanced training specifically in the cultural enhancement of TF-CBT titled Honoring Children Mending the Circle for children who identify as American Indians and Native Alaskan, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is currently being trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) for children ages 0-5.
Additionally, Courtney previously served in the United States Air Force and is in the process of completing her 3-tier training through Star Behavioral Health Providers Program. The training focuses on enhancing military cultural competency and improves access to behavioral health care for service members, veterans, and their families. Courtney is also receiving her clinical supervision hours under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical social worker with a plan to obtain her LCSW. Courtney's specialties include foster care/child welfare, working with children with high behavioral needs, and trauma backgrounds.
